Travel: tickets, hotels, planes
Book a room, find a platform, and talk about leaving and arriving.
Rezervi is to book. Ĉu estas libera ĉambro? — Is there a free room? Platform is kajo; gate at an airport is pordego or elirejo. The plane leaves at… is La aviadilo foriras je… Arrive is alveni. Delay is malfruo: La trajno malfruas. Passport is pasporto; luggage is pakaĵo. Direction still takes -n: ni flugas Parizon, ni iras al la hotelo.

- Jes. Vi alvenos en dudek minutoj. Yes. You will arrive in twenty minutes.
foriri vs iri
iri is to go. foriri is to leave (go away). alveni is to arrive. The prefix for- is “away”; you will meet it again on the affix page.
